The term “roulette” for many means a spinning wheel on which the ball rolls. This game has become a symbol of gambling entertainment. People who have never been to a casino have heard about it. The presented concept is much broader than is commonly believed. This is a whole world with tactics, betting strategies and the desire to guess the coveted number. Casino roulette rules
Basically, roulette is a simple game. The French mathematician Blaise Pascal is considered to be its author, but no official confirmation of the fact could be found. For many, this version of roulette is the base one, from which the remaining varieties of the game originated. The concept of “roulette” is borrowed from French (meaning “wheel”).
There are two popular roulette variants:
- American;
- European.
The rules are almost identical, but there are a number of nuances. For example, in the American version there are 38 divisions into sections. There is sector zero (0) or double zero (00) here. In the European analogue, only 37 sections are implemented, since there is no double zero sector.
Each section is numbered (from 1 to 39) and has its own color (red or black). They replace each other. Sectors 0 and 00 are green. European roulette has 3 operational beta segments. The main task of the gambler is to determine the cell where, according to his calculations (intuition), the ball should fall.
The amount of the reward varies. For example, when guessing the number that will fall on the roulette table, the player receives a win 35 times the size of the bet. When the player correctly determines in advance the color where the ball will land, the amount of funds at stake is doubled.
How to place a bet and what are the odds?
In roulette there is a classification of bets into two categories: outside and inside. The first ones drop out more often, but they have a low reward coefficient. Inside bets involve guessing a certain number. If successful, the player receives an amount that is 35 times the amount of funds wagered.
Bets are allowed on a number and numbers adjacent to it. We will pay special attention to the bet when the chip is placed at the intersection of the squares of two numbers. This is the so-called “split”. In case of a win, it brings the player a profit of 17 times. A gambler can bet on 3 numbers. In this case, there are several options:
- straight — location in one horizontal plane (payout 11 to 1);
- corner – at the intersection of four rooms (8 to 1).
For European roulette, there are several options for betting. In the first case, this is a trio, that is, the numbers 0-2-3 / 0-1-2. The win parameter is estimated here at 11 to 1. In the second option, it is a tetra, that is, the indicators are 0-1-2-3. The winning ratio in case of success is 8 to 1. Risky players prefer trios.
Strategies for a more successful game
To get a stable win at roulette, it is recommended to act according to the system. For example, the strategy of playing on red or black has proven itself well. The bottom line is to double the stakes and bet on only one color (red or black). As soon as the coveted shade falls out, the player will reimburse all the money spent. After winning, the color changes. If during the game zero drops out, then you need to change the color. For example, if you raised on the red square, now the bet is on black.
