How to play craps?

craps

Craps is a specific name for the game of dice. This entertainment has been known since ancient Egypt. The rules of the game have been tested for centuries. They are simple and understandable even for beginners. Interestingly, the designation “dice game” is not entirely correct, since sometimes non-dice are used on the table. In craps, two 6-sided objects are used, on each side of which there is a designation from 1 to 6. Special markings are applied to the table, high sides are installed so that the game projectile does not fly to the floor. A key feature of entertainment is the possibility of participation of up to 20 players at the same time.

How is the game process in craps?

The main task is to guess the number that will fall out when throwing the dice. The sum of two game shells is used as an indicator. The person throwing the dice is designated as the shooter. The rest of the players can bet on what number he will get. The shooter also has the ability to bet on his own roll. It is noteworthy that even in craps, gamblers come up with winning strategies.

Rules of the game

The throw must be made exactly according to the established rules. The movement is carried out with only one hand. The shells must reach the opposite side of the table, bounce off it, lie down on one of the sides and give out the appropriate combination of numbers. Sometimes the dice fly off the table. In this case, the croupier has the right to enter these shells into the game or print a new batch. There is only one shooter here. If this person loses, then he concedes the right to throw to another participant.

How does the shooter work?

Craps has two stages:

  1. come out roll;
  2. 2 point roll.

In the first stage, a roll is made to identify the point. If the result is a number in the range of 4-10, the indicator is fixed. Then the second stage starts. If a number falls outside the indicated range, the arrow loses. When a number falls within 7-11, a natural situation is formed when the shooter becomes the winner. He gets the win and the opportunity to roll again.

Basic rates

In craps, there are more than a dozen bets for the rest of the players. We list the most popular betting options:

  • Pass Line – bet on the first stage of the game, the numbers 7 or 11 indicate a win, 2, 3 or 12 – a loss;
  • Don’t pass line – the bet is made at the first stage, the situation is the reverse of the Pass Line situation, when 7 or 11 leads to a loss, and 2, 3 or 12 – to a win;
